Guest speaker - Alex McLaren Alex McLaren is the owner of a successful strength and mobility coaching studio in Edinburgh, helping active people recover from injury and build long-term strength. His in-person freelance business has been operating at full client capacity for several years, and he is now expanding into online coaching.Originally from Canada and a former international-level swimmer, Alex followed a non-linear career path before identifying a gap in the Scottish fitness and rehabilitation market. Rather than retraining, he built a freelance business focused on long-term strength, health and mobility, turning varied career experiences into the foundation of a sustainable and fulfilling practice. One of the most (maybe THE most) useful sessions I attended; I now have more clarity on freelancing. It was so useful in every aspect. The speakers were really patient and knowledgeable.
