Map for the Student Enterprise Hub on Central Campus

A home for the entrepreneurial community at the University of Edinburgh. The Student Enterprise Hub is at the heart of Central Campus, in Appleton Tower with the entrance facing Windmill Street. With space for hot-desking on a first-come, first served basis, and more comfortable seating options too. The Hub is a relaxed co-working space where the majority of the Student Enterprise team can be found.

You can pop-in at any time, book a meeting with a business adviser, work on your startup idea and meet with your team. We also hold in-person events and host other opportunities too.

Location: Appleton Tower. The entrance faces Chapel Street/Windmill Street.

Opening hours: Monday – Friday 10am – 6pm

Winter break: the last day the Hub will be open in 2024 is Friday 13th December and it will reopen on Monday 13th January 2025.

What to expect on your visit:

The Student Enterprise Hub is all on the ground floor with assisted door access. We often have music playing in the background and as a co-working space there is usually constant conversations talking place. We ask that all visitors are mindful of others using the space to work. As with all University buildings, there is a regular fire-alarm test. For the Hub it is every Wednesday at 11am.

There are several options for nearby parking however, none of this is free. Depending on where you park you will need to seek a permit via the University of Edinburgh or pay Edinburgh Council for parking. Please be aware in both instances parking restrictions are enforced and we have no sway other these.

There are many bus routes nearby for public buses as well as the University's shuttle bus service
