OCC Launch

If you’re building a startup at the University of Edinburgh (or recently graduated) and ready to raise serious early-stage capital, this is for you.

Old College Capital (OCC) is the University of Edinburgh’s venture investment fund. Investing at the earliest stages acts as a catalyst, building confidence for our entrepreneurs and investment partners.

OCC Launch helps founders navigate pre-seed investment challenges such as validation of the technology, proof of concept, product-market fit or to access matched funding. They also fund key experiments that support founders to pivot or rethink the idea quickly. All OCC Launch investment terms are designed to be accessible and tailored to support founders at the early stages of their journey.

OCC Launch invests up to £100,000 to build and accelerate the momentum of high-potential companies. To qualify, companies must be seeking investment to:

• Fund a specific work package (technical or commercial)
• Leverage additional funding through co-investment
• A significant value inflexion point that will enable the company to subsequently raise a full Seed round
