A high energy weekend where you learn how to startup over 2 days. Image Get a taste for entrepreneurship in our Startup Fast-Track challenge. Working in teams you’ll tackle a real-world problem, develop innovative solutions, meet experienced mentors and pitch your idea to a panel of judges. Come with or without a business idea, join a team and startup over two days. This high-energy event will give you a fast-track experience of turning your ideas into reality. What to expect This event will help you learn about the foundational elements of starting a business:Meet your team and choose one of the weekend’s challenges (these will be announced soon)Research the problem and start crafting an innovative solutionAttend workshops on how to validate an idea, develop a solution and communicate your idea in a pitchMeet with experienced mentors from our startup ecosystemPresent your idea to our panel of judges We will partner with various Schools from the University of Edinburgh. Last year we partnered with the Business School, Edinburgh Futures Institute and the School of Engineering. Our partners for this year will be announced soon. Who can attendAll current students and recent alumni (two years post-graduation) from the University of Edinburgh. You don’t need any business or startup experience to take part. We welcome students of a variety of backgrounds. Time commitment Taking place on Friday 7th November 5pm-9.30pm and Saturday 8th November 9.30am – 8.30pm Application Applications will open soonDeadline for applications: Thursday 30th October at 10am Applications are competitive. We ask a few short questions to assess your suitability for the programme. Please ensure you complete these questions fully and to the best of your ability to be in with the best chance of securing a spot. Only apply if you can attend both days fully.
