Old College Capital (OCC) is the University of Edinburgh’s venture investment fund. Investing at the earliest stages acts as a catalyst, building confidence for our entrepreneurs and investment partners.

OCC Launch helps founders navigate pre-seed investment challenges such as validation of the technology, proof of concept, product-market fit or to access matched funding. They also fund key experiments that support founders to pivot or rethink the idea quickly. All OCC Launch investment terms are designed to be accessible and tailored to support founders at the early stages of their journey.

Early-stage businesses associated with the University can apply for Launch to access:

• Financial support at an early but crucial stage of a company’s development
• Investment which will be made via a simple agreement designed to convert into equity on the terms of a future funding round
• The support of the Old College Capital Investment Management team who are experienced at helping fund and support early-stage companies
• Investor feedback as well as the expertise of Edinburgh Innovations’ advisors and business networks
